THE FILM-

This is a very entertaining family drama with very touching moments in between. In this film, Amitabh Bachchan plays the character of a very rich businessman Yashovardhan Raichand who is a very strict and principled man. He always wants his sons to follow the traditions of his ancestors and keep up the honour of their family. On the other hand, his wife Nandini Raichand (Jaya Bachchan) wants her sons to follow their heart. They have 2 sons Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and Rohan (Hrithik Roshan). But the turning point comes when Rahul falls in love that too with a low-class Chandni Chowk girl Anjali (Kajol). Rahul is soon made to leave home. Truth is that Rahul is their adopted son and by this he also proves it. Then comes younger brother Rohan, who promises to his mother that he will bring back Rahul with whom Nandini shares a special loving relation and he manages to do so, with the help of Pooja (Kareena Kapoor), Anjali’s younger sister, who in turn fall in love with each other. How Rohan manages to do so is what remains to be seen in the movie. The music is good and so is the direction. Kareena looks gorgeous in her new look designed by Manish Malhotra and has acted really well. A must-see for all film buffs.
